| Maps of the subway are free, if you can locate one –Try
any major station or 1234 Market Street. The mysterious and little known or understood underground Pedestrian Concourse. Like the Green lines, SEPTA has no map of the vast pedestrian concourse or Penn station underground complex that it offers nor is there a web page on the SEPTA web site. |

Alternate sources of maps. Streetwise Philadelphia is pretty good for subway – Market Frankfort and Broad Street Lines, but is sadly outdated for bus routes. You would think for $9 for a piece of plastic they could at least put a little effort in and update it every other year. I found an excellent full color subway map in the Verizon SuperPages city edition yellow pages telephone directory. |

Don't expect to be able to get a Regional Rail schedule at stations as 69th Street Station or any stop along the regional rail line. Schedules, when they aren't out of them, can be obtained from the 1234 Market Street – museum/office – rack, Pedestrian Concourse and any major terminals: Market East Station, Suburban Station, 30th Street Amtrak Station. But bus and subway schedules can be got at Regional Rail stations. Go figure. 69th Street Terminal and Frankford Terminal. Or viewed and downloaded in .pdf format from the SEPTA web site. Which is deficient. For example, a current comprehensive bus route map is not available² online. There are 2 comprehensive folding maps: city and a suburban both available at the Transit Museum Store for $9.95 + tax each. You can also purchase one on-line, add postage. There is no comprehensive fold-up map of the Green lines on or off-line. You will see poster boards displaying the info at Green Line stations only. The same is true of the Pedestrian Concourses.
